Newly named Head Football Coach, Trac Baughn, served the past two seasons as the Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator for our Gators.
Armed with 32 years’ coaching experience at the college and high school level, he brings a plethora of knowledge and expertise to the LOLHS football program. This is his 2nd head coaching position; formerly he was the head coach at Kosciusko High School in Mississippi. There, he compiled a 21-6 record, reaching the 4A state quarterfinals both years. Coach Baughn was named “Area Coach of the Year” twice as his teams finished ranked in the Mississippi Associated Press 4A top 5. Baughn has also served a total of 20 years as a Defensive Coordinator, with stops at Meridian HS, Wayne County HS, New Hope HS, and Cleveland Central HS all in Mississippi. Coach Baughn also spent 14 years in the rugged Mississippi JUCO’s, serving as a defensive assistant at East Mississippi Community College, and as Defensive Coordinator at Holmes Community College. In 2002 he enjoyed being a part of a MACJC State Championship and Region 23 Championship, sporting one of the best defensive squads in the Nation. Prior to joining the JUCO ranks, Baughn served as the Tight End Coach at Austin Peay State University, and Running backs Coach at Delta State University.
Coach Baughn graduated from Ocean Springs High School and went on to be a 2 sport athlete (football and baseball) at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. He graduated with a B.S. in Education and went on to obtain a Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Delta State. He is married to Jaci Erale Baughn and has two children, Tanner age 23 and Will age 20.
Spencer Van Meter
Spencer Van Meter is in his first season serving under Head Coach Trac Baugh as The Gators Offensive Coordinator. Coach Van Meter has spent the previous 16 seasons coaching in Hillsborough County, most recently as the Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach at Chamberlain High School. Chamberlain is consistently one of the highest producing offenses in the county. Prior to coaching at Chamberlain, Coach Van Meter was the Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator at Tampa Catholic and he began his coaching career at his Alma Mater Jefferson High School in Tampa. Coach Van Meter was an ALL-County Offensive Line man that lettered in Football and Basketball prior to attending Central Michigan University on full athletic scholarship. Van Meter coached at Jefferson for 11 seasons, making the playoffs in every year. Over his coaching career, he has mentored numerous players that have gone on to college and professional success. Spencer Van Meter has three children Alyssa, Lily and James.
Tyler Farr is a Land O’ Lakes High school alum and Pasco county native. He works at the Land O’ Lakes high school as an instructional assistant. After finishing high School, he came on board the coaching staff with his former head coach Brian Wachtel. He is going into his 6th year as a football coach and his 4th as the varsity offensive line coach. Coach Farr has played football for a vast majority of his life. It’s his passion to be a part of the game for the rest of his life.
Corey has worked in law enforcement for 20 years, most recently as a sergeant with the Clearwater police department. Corey is a football veteran as he has been playing and coaching for many years. He played left tackle for the Tampa Bay Sentinels of the NPSFL for five seasons. He also won the Gold Medal at the Florida Police Olympics in wrestling. Corey has coached at the Pop Warner, middle and high school levels. He joins us from Wiregrass Ranch where he coached the JV O line for three years, losing only once over that span. He brings his passion to win to Land O Lakes and looks forward to leading and developing the next group of young men. Corey has three children – Paige, Connor and Jackson, and recently with his wife Tracie welcomed a little boy named Gunnar into their family.
Anthony Hendrix is a Land O’ Lakes High school alum and Pasco county native. During his high school career at Land O’ Lakes high he played football and basketball. While pursuing his bachelors in statistics and master’s degrees at USF in exercise science he coached boy’s football at Land O’ Lakes. This year he became the Land O’ Lakes high school boys track team head coach. Anthony is excited to be back for his 4th year of coaching football for the Gators and his first year of being a math teacher for Land O’Lakes high school.
Chad was born in Louisville KY and raised in Georgia. He attended the University of Kentucky where is played middle linebacker from 93’-96’. Chads coaching career began shortly after moving to Tampa in 99’. He was the defensive coordinator for Gaither 99’-00’, Defensive Coordinator for Sarasota High from 00’-01’, then became USF’s defensive assistant from 01’-03’. Chad took a hiatus from coaching to focus on family and the operations of a Land O’ Lakes land mark Hungry Harry’s. Chad is excited to be back for his second year of coaching as a defensive back coach for the Gators. Chad lives in Land O’Lakes with his wife Stacey and their children Mackinley, Reagan, Gunnar, Avaree, Remi, Fisher and Kingston.
George is a retired from law enforcement, having spent 20 years working for the FBI, New York and Clearwater police departments. George is the proud co-owner of All-in-1 Mobile Garage and creator of Fostering Change, a need based organization for the tri-county region supporting the less fortunate in our communities.
George has a long love affair with football dating back to his playing days as a boy in school. His more recent experience includes coaching Pine View middle school football.
George lives in Pasco County with his wife Jennifer and their daughter Christina and two foster children. They also have two adult children Anthony and Catherine.
Joshua Gaulden is a Land O’ Lakes high school alum and a Land o Lakes native. While at Land O’ Lakes high he was an all-conference offensive lineman. He loved playing football at the swamp and intends to bring the knowledge he learned from his coaches Wachtel and Schmitz to the young men who are dedicated to the sport at Land O ‘lakes high.
After high school Josh went into the automotive industry. He is now the proud co-owner of All-in-1 Mobile Garage which serves Pasco, Hillsborough and Hernando counties. Josh is also pursuing a bachelor’s of pastoral ministries at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary this fall.
Bruce Patterson is the new JV Gators assistant head coach. His football experience began in a Minnesota high school where he started as a quarter back and defensive back for two consecutive years. He continued his love of the game through running camps and fall leagues for middle and high school students. This is his first year with the LOLHS Gators. Presently he is pursuing a bachelors in psychology fulltime from HCC. He lives in Land O’ Lakes with his wife Angel and their daughter Isabell and son Reece.
Eric Douglas is the Founder & President of XL212 sports management “Service.” XL212 creates EPIC experiences for Student-Athletes and is dedicated to empowering and equipping coaches and athletes to go…Beyond Winning! Eric is also a certified “Executive Coach” and teaches Athletic Principles of Success to business and community leaders.
Eric grew up in Salem, OH and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Evangel University in Springfield, MO. He was a Scholar-Athlete as a defensive back for the Crusaders football team and 2013 inducted into the Evangel University Athletic Hall of Fame.
His endeavors have taken him from the field to the side-lines to the broadcast booth as well as to the speaker’s platform. Over the years he has coached Football, Basketball and Track at the High School and Collegiate level.
Eric is very involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has been a presenter/trainer for the 3-Dimensioanal Coaching Institute. He is a member of the FCA Board for the local Tampa area. Eric is also a member of the National Football Foundation and an elector for the College Football Hall of Fame, an active Rotarian and he and his family attend Grace Family Church.
A new resident of Land O Lakes, FL having recently moving from the Pacific Northwest. Eric is married to his beautiful wife Meg, who works for Nike and is the proud father of EJ, Eve and Steele.
Zack Milliron currently works for Pasco County Schools as a Graduation Enhancement Teacher. Zack holds a Bachelor’s in Education from South Florida and a Graduate Certificate in Media Technology from the University of Florida. Before coming to Land O’ Lakes High School, he held assistant coaching positions at Gattaca Prep, Freedom High School, Wharton High School, and Olympic Heights High School. In college, Zack was an Undergrad Assistant with the South Florida Bulls. In his free time, Zack enjoys spending time with his adopted Dachshund Terrier Cooper Hound.
I was born and raised in South Jersey where I attended Rowan University for undergrad majoring in Athletic Training. I moved to Tampa after graduation to pursue my master’s degree at USF. I am currently entering my third year at Land O’ Lakes through PT Solutions Physical Therapy. When I am not working, I love being at the beach or visiting my family back home.
This is David Turners first season serving under Head Coach Trac Baughn as the quarter back coach. Coach Turner is a Tampa native and has been passionate about football from a young age. His father and grandfather were his biggest influences in the sport.
Coach Turner began playing football in elementary school and his love for football continued through college. As a quarterback in high school, he earned All State Honorable Mention, All Conference, State Runner Up and West Tampa All Star. Turner received scholarships from Southwest Minnesota State and Grambling University. Post college he was invited to try out for the Tampa Bay Storm of the AFL. Coach Turner proudly serves in the USPS.
His coaching career began at Chamberlain High School in Tampa where he was named the quarter back coach. His acumen was a vital part of the team becoming a class 6a contender with four winning seasons and two playoff berths. Notable alumni he has coached include Tyler Rydell, who is now the starting quarterback for Division 1 East Tennessee State University.
