Boys Varsity Football · New Head Football Coach: Trac Baughn


Newly named Head Football Coach, Trac Baughn, served the past two seasons as the Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator for our Gators.

 Armed with 32 years’ coaching experience at the college and high school level combined, he brings a plethora of knowledge and expertise to the LOLHS football program.  This is his 2nd head coaching position with his prior head coaching position at Kosciusko High School in Mississippi.  As head coach there, he held a 21-6 record and competed in the 4A state quarterfinals both years.  Coach Baughn was named “Area Coach of the Year” both seasons as his teams finished both seasons ranked in the Mississippi Associated Press 4A top 5. Baughn has also served a total of 20 years as a Defensive Coordinator, with stops at Meridian High School (Ms.), Wayne County High School (Ms.), New Hope High School(Ms.), Cleveland Central High School (Ms.) competing in the Mississippi High School Football Playoffs. In addition to his High School experience, Baughn also coached 14 years in the rugged Mississippi JUCO’s, serving as a defensive assistant at East Mississippi Community College, and as Defensive Coordinator at Holmes Community College. In 2002 he enjoyed being a part of a MACJC State Championship and Region 23 Championship, sporting one of the best defensive squads in the Nation. Prior to joining the JUCO ranks, Baughn served as the Tight End Coach at Austin Peay State University, and Running backs Coach at Delta State University.

Coach Baughn graduated from Ocean Springs High School(Ms.) and went on to be a 2 sport athlete (football and baseball) at Millsaps College(Jackson, Ms.) where he graduated with a B.S. in Education. Baughn also holds a M. Ed. In Educational Administration from Delta State University (Cleveland, Ms.). He is married to Jaci Erale Baughn and has two children, Tanner( 23)and Will Baughn(20).
